History
History
About 85 years ago, a Yogi placed a picture under a tree near the state government housing area (Quarters) to be used as a place of worship. Over time a small cottage was built that was partly stone and the other half of the structure was wood. In 2011, the state government planned to build a people's housing project (PPRT) and we were ordered to relocate. After several meetings with the temple committee, the state government finally agreed to give a new site for the temple that was close to the PPRT area in 2012. Now, after obtaining the approval documents from the Survey Department, we have begun work on the construction of the new temple with the little funds available and the temple is expected to be completed by 2023 if there is sufficient allocation.
Significance
Unike other temples, most of the devotees who come here to pray usually offer milk to the serpent deity (Nagama) so that their wishes come true and most of the adherents are satisfied when performing worship here.
