History
History
According to the Chairman of the temple, this temple has been in Tampin town for more than 100 years but there is no complete history regarding the existence of this temple. Based on to the accounts from the elders in this area, Karuppan Chetiyar is the founder of this temple. This temple was officially registered in 1957 under the societies act 1966 and was managed well by the management team. In 2002 the first kumbaabishegam was held after a new building was erected. This temple is the largest temple in Tampin town and is the main attraction for the Hindus here. Various activities are also carried out under the leadership, Mr Govindasamy, the Chairman, when necessary so that the surrounding Hindu community can be actively involved in the temple.
Significance
There is a peepal 'arasamaram' and neem tree 'veppilaimaram' that grows near each other within the temple grounds.
