History
History
"Sri Tandayuthapani Temple was built in 1897. At first, this temple was built with a small statue deity. Then in 1932, the temple was built bigger. Later in 1954 and 1982 the temple was renovated and rebuilt much bigger. Initially, the name of the temple was ""Subramanya"" and in 1966 the name was changed to ""Tandayuthabani""
Significance
The main uniqueness of this temple is "Panguni Uthiram" which is celebrated on a grand scale. Panguni Uthiram is celebrated in March every year and is attended by 10 thousand Indian people. Panguni Uthiram is celebrated for 15 days. Various activities and programs are held for 15 days.
