History
History
This temple was established at Ladang Batu Dua Kerling by Hindu estate workers who worked and lived here since 1930. They needed a place of worship so they performed a prayer ceremony to Goddess Mariamman. The statue of Goddess Mariamman is made of clay. They built this temple hut with a zing roof. In 1930, the devotees on this farm moved the temple from the old site to a new site close to the residence of the estate residents and built a bigger temple. At that time this farm was owned by the Guthrie group.
