History
History
In the 1950s a local youth named Encik Kandaiah, a grocer, built a wooden hut and worshiped only soolam. In the beginning there were only 4 Hindu families who prayed in this temple. When many Hindus started praying at Rasa temple, this temple was enlarged and rebuilt with stone and cement. In 2005, the first Kumbhabhishegam was held and since then more and more Hindus come to this temple till now.
Significance
The uniqueness of this temple is that the idol is painted in colorful colors and Lord Shivan has udukai and soolam in his hands. It is believed that whoever worships at this Rasa temple, his prayers will be answered.
