History
History
In 1950, the idol of Goddess Mariaman was erected in the Sri Maha Sivasakthi Mariamman Temple. Initially, the temple was built with planks and a zing roof. In the beginning, Mr. Maniam was responsible from 1950 to 1960 to manage this temple. In 1975, a new temple was built on the land in front of the old temple. It was built with the help of the government, with the Honorable Datuk Michael Chin. Mr. Ramasamy Mandor became the president. In 1975, the first Kumbabhishekam was held. In 1991, the second Kumbabhishekam was held. In 2014, this temple was replaced by Rajagopuram. Rajagopuram was built with the contribution of Datuk Sri E Lan Chin Chong. Kumbabhishekam was held in 2018. Now the temple looks very beautiful.
Significance
The five-story Rajagopuram in this temple looks unique and beautiful. Dewi Amman in this temple is believed to be very powerful and when Hindus pray, Dewi Amman will fulfill them.
