History
History
One of the famous temples in the Batang Padang district is the Sree Ramabiran Temple. Sree Ramabiran Temple, Tapah was established by JKR workers who lived in the surrounding area. In the beginning, there were no idols to worship. Hindus use the image of Sree Ramar for prayer. The picture is still in good condition and is hung on the wall of the Mulasatanam in the temple. In 1979, Mrs. Saroja Nair erected statues of Gods Sree Ramar, Seethai, Hanuman and Lakshamanan in place of the pictures. To this date, the statue of the God is still used in good condition.
Significance
This temple has a history of more than 102 years and this temple has many special features. Examples of uniqueness such as, Satguru Swami Jakanathar first stopped by and stayed at the Sree Ramabiran Tapah Temple, before he worked at the Malayan Railway (KTM). Next, this temple is very famous among Hindus in Batang Padang District, Kinta District and Hilir Perak District. Hence, many devotees come from outside.
