History
History
This temple is a modified temple from Suffolk Farm that was destroyed by the tide of development. The age of this temple is approximately 130 years. The temple was established in 1986. The founder of the temple for this temple is a resident of Kampong Dato Seri Kamaruddin. The residents have worked hard to move the temple to a new area given by the government. In the beginning, the temple area was in a reserve land and the residents had changed the land in the name of the existing temple. Community cooperation in temple activities or temple festivals is very encouraging in all religious ceremonies.
Significance
The unique festival of this temple is Citra Paurnami, The festival is celebrated every year in the month of April / May. This festival is celebrated for 10 days with 9 days of Ubayam. Thiruvila is celebrated for ten days. On the tenth day after thiruvila, the temple will bring out the decorated Chariot (RATHAM) in the evening. A total of approximately 1500 devotees will gather for the temple festival.
